Fighters (ca. 1995)
I've had a long time love for jet fighters and there are some that I've built at many different times in the past. Here you see an F-16, F-15E, F/A-18 and an F-14 from more than a decade ago. They're a bit rough compared to what I build nowadays, but already easily recognisable as the real jets. At the time I had very little dark grey LEGO, so I often used black instead. You can also see that I hadn't quite figured out how to make the noses of the aircraft look smooth and that I didn't really build things that were an odd number of studs wide, which means that the fuselage on the Hornet, in particular, is too wide.
I often get criticised for using non-LEGO parts for the cockpits. If you take a close look at the F-16 you'll see that it has a brick-built canopy, whilst the other models have non-LEGO plastic, which shows that this picture was taken around the time that I started using the latter.
