A-6E Intruder Work In Progress
The A-6 Intruder has been on my wish list for a few years now, but somehow I kept getting side-tracked by other projects, such as the movie vehicles and retrofitting all my aircraft with non-LEGO canopies. Rebuilding my Tomcats in the last couple of weeks rekindled my interest, however, and yesterday I finally started building. Most of the model will be the same as my existing Prowler model, so I started with the biggest part that differs.
The Intruder in question will have markings to match my other jets from Carrier Wing 8 as they appeared during their 1977/1978 deployment aboard USS Nimitz. For the intruder this means it'll have the markings of VA-35 Black Panthers.
