Magpies squabbling over a stash!

european magpie ~ pica pica (behavioural)
The magpie is on the RSPB Green status list.
Another quick grab shot when I spotted these scruffy juvenile magpies squabbling over remains of an apple they had stashed in the grass covered by a large leaf. The noise they were making was deafening. I have seen both woodpeckers and magpies fall apples then eat them.
On and off for a while will catch up when I can.
