Mt. Rainier from Paradise
We ended day 2 with a quick stop at Paradise on the south side of the park. We checked out the new visitor center and went over to the lodge for treats. OMT and Jason celebrated a great day hiking with an ice cream sundae..... I had a great big giant cookie :)
Day two of our hiking in Mt. Rainier National Park with Oldmantravels. We started the day with quick stops at the Reflection Lakes and Christine Falls and then we did the 3.5 mile 2,600 ft elevation gain hike up to Comet Falls and Mildred Point.
We met fellow flickr friend Oldmantravels for 3 days of hiking in Mt. Rainier National Park. OMT is well traveled and experienced on the park trails and he graciously offered to show us a few of his favorites. We had perfect weather and we saw an incredibly beautiful area of Washington State. The hiking was great and the conversation and companionship was even better. As an added treat, we spent part of the trip with Oldmantravel's sweet and lovely wife.
