One of the key selling features of the Lumix DMC-TZ80 compact camera is its 30x optical zoom lens. That's a full frame equivalent of 24-720mm! Now, it is a Leica Elmar variable lens, so the quality is good, but as you'd expect with something that tries to do so much in such a small camera, this is going to produce a lot of distortion at the edges at certain focal lengths.

 

Here is a test shot with the zoom almost fully deployed. It did not require any cropping and as you can see the colour and clarity for an 18 MP sensor is more than acceptable. And notice you don't get those nasty sharp edges you do with a cell phone.
