The Inlet
The sun kept trying to hide itself behind the thin cloud layer that was moving in from the Tasman Sea. That's why some of the shots in this series are in bright momentary sunlight, and ones like this are more subdued. By late afternoon the marine layer had set in and cloud cover was down to several hundred metres. But the tranquility of this scene impressed me as we look over to the Governor Island Marine Reserve, a haven for seabirds.
