Ko Kred village

Ko Kred has several villages, most occupied by Khmer (Mon) descendants who moved to the island when it was created. The path runs the entire circumference, through most of the villages, over canals, through swamps and low spots (no railings!) and is plagued by people on motorbikes buzzing one way or the other, usually when the path is narrowest, or when you want to stop and take a picture.
