At the Swedish Ambassador’s Residence in Harare, leaders from Sweden and Zimbabwe gathered for a high-level Business Breakfast hosted by H.E. Per Lindgärde—strengthening bilateral cooperation and accelerating sustainable industrial partnerships in Zimbabwe.
A central highlight was the presentation by Absolicon Solar Collector AB on its strategic collaboration with ZESA Holdings to establish Africa’s first Solar Thermal Energy factory—a transformative initiative designed to industrialize clean heat production and decarbonize African industries at scale.

Investment perspectives were shared by Tafadzwa Chinamo, CEO of Zimbabwe Investment Development Agency, highlighting Zimbabwe’s commitment to enabling international collaboration and sustainable growth.
Lars Ling, CEO of CleanTech Region Group, serves as business advisor to Absolicon and ZESA—facilitating partnerships, investment dialogue, and strategic positioning to accelerate the energy transition and decarbonization of African industries through solar thermal heat solutions.
The breakfast also convened Swedish industrial leaders including ABB, Sandvik, Atlas Copco, Husqvarna, Epiroc, and Scania—demonstrating the breadth of Swedish innovation across energy, mining, infrastructure, and mobility.
