Jeff Tweedy

In a life dedicated to and immersed in music from every genre and corner of the globe, there are 3 men that stand at the top of my personal Mount Olympus: Jerry Garcia, Frank Sinatra, and Jeff Tweedy. Tweedy was one third of the legendary Uncle Tupelo, mixing the back-porch pickin' of the Carter Family, the country-rock vibe of Gram Persons, and the fury of SST recording artists like Black Flag and Husker Du. The one-two songwriting punch of Tweedy and Jay Farrar put out 4 fantastic albums before their friendship (and the band) fizzled. Jeff formed Wilco, a band that for 20 years (and counting!) has knocked out critics and audiences alike around the globe with their recorded output and their live shows. A prolific songwriter crafting brilliant little gems of music and words-it's little wonder he's compared to Dylan and Brian Wilson. The driving force behind a world-renowned band and a bi-annual music festival, a respected producer of other artists' music, a record label owner, a husband and a father. A real privilege to meet and photograph Jeff Tweedy.
