Ghost Fleet

This is a portion of the "Ghost Fleet" in Suisun Bay as it looked from an Amtrak train at 6:30 on a late July morning. That's Mount Diablo in the background. These are ships that are laid up awaiting either a return to duty or a one-way trip to a shipbreaker. (Sadly, time has passed most of these vessels by, and they're likely future razor blades.)
