Tetragonula carbonaria eduction. After I gave a talk on native bees a local wanted a hive so I agreed to set up an eduction with my KITH (Klumppy's Insulated Tubular Hive) hive. Eduction is the process of forcing the bees to travel through the daughter hive whereupon they (hopefully) set up structure, store nectar and pollen and eventually produce brood. The new box is contained inside the esky which is heated with an 8 watt bulb controlled with an electronic thermostat ($13-00 free delivery from China)
