Defending the defences
A cantilevered pillbox on the former airfield of RAF Oakington, presumably intended for airfield defence (though it's not clear what from - again, had the Germans invaded and got this far, a few pillboxes wouldn't have presented a major problem). There are a string of these along the northern edge of the airfield, which is now being redeveloped as the new town of Northstowe. The security fencing is presumably to keep any disaffected local youth out of the building.
