G-TNTA 1 British Aerospace (Avro) B.Ae 146-200(F) TNT Express Worldwide (Air Foyle) MAN JAN93
Replacing an earlier scanned print with a better version 09-Jan-19.
Operated by Air Foyle on behalf of TNT Express Worldwide
This aircraft was ordered by TNT Roadfreight Ltd (UK) with the assigned registration G-OTNT. However, the order was cancelled and the aircraft first flew with the British Aerospace test registration G-6-056 in Mar-86. It was transferred to British Aerospace Inc as N146FT five days later.
The aircraft was converted to B.Ae 146-200QT 'Quiet Trader' standard with a main deck cargo door in Jul/Aug-86 and re-registered N146QT. It was delivered to TNT Express Worldwide as G-TNTA in May-87 and operated by Air Foyle on behalf of TNT.
The aircraft was re-registered EC-HDH in May-99, operated by PAN AIR Lineas Aereas for TNT Express Worldwide. It was withdrawn from service and stored in Jul-14. It was sold to Tronos (a Canadian lessor) as G-OTIF in Jan-16 and leased to BAe Systems in Mar-16 as a Company aircraft based at Warton, near Preston, UK.
It was returned to Tronos and sold to Pionair Australia as VH-SOF in Feb-18 and was stored at Bankstown, NSW, Australia the same month. I can't see any evidence of it ever entering service in Australia and I'm assuming that it's become a spares source. Updated 25-Mar-22.
