First flown in May-81 with the Airbus test registration F-GBNP, this aircraft was stored at Toulouse until it was delivered to Eastern Air Lines as N221EA in Oct-81. It was sold to a lessor in Jan-89 and leased back to Eastern.
Eastern Air Lines ceased operations in Jan-91 and the aircraft was stored before being returned to the lessor and stored at Marana, AZ, USA in Mar-91. It remained stored for almost three years before it was leased to Carnival Air Lines in Feb-94.
The aircraft was returned to the lessor in Jul-97 and stored at Dothan, AL, USA. It was sold to DHL Airways in Feb-98 and remained stored until it was converted to feighter configuration with a main deck cargo door in Dec-98.
In Feb-99 the aircraft was re-registered OO-DLC and leased to EAT European Air Transport NV (Belgium) and operated on behalf of DHL Europe. It was the first A300 to be repainted in the yellow DHL livery in Aug-05.
In Feb-10 the aircraft was transferred to Air Contractors - Ireland as EI-OZE while operations for DHL continued. It was returned to Air Contractors in Dec-12 and stored at Lourdes, France. It was then 31 years old and thought to be permanently retired.
However, in Dec-13 the aircraft was sold to Southern Aircraft Charters Ltd. Re-registered N832JM in Mar-14, it was ferried to Orlando-Sanford, FL, USA where it was again stored.
It was thought to be going to Transcarga International Airways, Panama but that didn't happen and it remained stored at Sanford. It was last noted still at Sanford, in basic DHL yellow livery, in Aug-18.
