WASI-SABI .... an aesthetic concept from the Far East to perceive the nature of things. Wabi and Sabi are very closely related to Zen Buddhism.

 

WASI ... is the simplicity of things. Asymmetry, renunciation and naturalness. It also applies to asceticism.

 

SABI ... means to create a natural patina.

Sabi objects are authentic because they recognize three simple truths:

 

* Nothing remains

* nothing is complete

* and nothing is perfect.

WASI-SABI .... ein ästhetisches Konzept aus Fernost, um das Wesen von Dingen wahrzunehmen. Wabi und Sabi sind sehr eng mit dem Zen-Buddhismus verwandt.

 

WASI ... ist die Einfachheit der Dinge. Asymmetrie, Verzicht und Natürlichkeit. Das gilt auch für die Askese.

 

SABI ... bedeutet, eine natürliche Patina zu erzeugen.

Sabi-Objekte sind authentisch, weil sie drei einfache Wahrheiten erkennen:

 

* Nichts bleibt

* nichts ist vollständig

* und nichts ist perfekt.
