I was getting a bit more runout than I wanted, so I tried decreasing the end play. I'm not sure of the original value before I adjusted it. I think it was on the order of 5-8 um when I first got the lathe. I adjusted it down to ~1.5 um, and that seemed to take care of the problem for now. I won't be able to run at high speed for prolonged periods, but I normally don't need to do that.
