Norwich’s two great Norman landmarks. The Castle began as a motte-and-bailey c.1067 with its stone keep built 1094–1121. Norwich Cathedral was begun in 1096 and largely completed by 1145. Nearly 900 years later, both still dominate the heart of the city.
