I was passing by a park in Georgetown, Texas, when I saw signs reading SCA. I followed the sign and soon realized that it stood the Society for Creative Anachronism. That's where I met Whitney (left) and Morgan. Whitney is dressed like a woman from the Mughal Empire, which began in 1526 and was at the height of power in the late 17th and early 18th centuries when it controlled most of the Indian subcontinent. Morgan is dressed as a member of the Mongol Empire, which existed during the 13th and 14th centuries. Morgan told me Mongols don't smile, but you can see it creeping up on her here!
