Our new DAF CF530. We finally got a few minor problems fixed ans it's ready to get to work. Due in September when the weather is better and the daylight much brighter and longer I was faced with trying to get photos to use in the future in company marketing in appalling conditions. It was raining, the wagon is wet through and had just been driven back on the M62 so it definitely wasn't looking its best. I had to turn the ISO up much further than I wanted and I was still working at dangerously low shutter speeds. There will be better days to come hopefully but it will soon accumulate marks on the unit so I wanted to get a few (200) shots in the bag.
We have a couple of new bins so we loaded one of those with baled cars and John shot off up Standedge for his first loaded test drive-it goes well needless to say.
We specced The 530 version with the construction chassis, hub reduction, twelve speed TraXon transmission and Durabrights. The unit is a Harsh which is a first for us so we'll have to see how that goes, it's certainly slower than our previous French Dalby units.
There are a lot of shots and more to come but I need them were certain people can view them easily for one reason or another.
