Top is a Caracara
bottom is a Bald Eagle.
Caracara and Eagles are mortal enemies. The eagles will aggravate them for apparently no reason initiating attacks, usually fought by both the male and female of the caracara pair. If juveniles are present they get as flat to the ground (or into trees) and as pale as possible. At the Viera Wetlands mortalities have occurred because of these altercations, for both the Eagles and the Caracara.
