At Goolwa our train picked up two extra carriages for the run to Victor Harbour; seen here backing up for the connection.

 

Locomotive 621 is a "Light Pacific" 4-6-2 locomotive designed by the South Australian Railways and built in 1938. There were ten locomotives in this class, they commonly worked fast passenger services in regional South Australia. This engine is the only one to survive.
