Twice, while driving the pacific coast highway, we were unable to find a campground that wasn't full, so we just boondocked right off the road.
One morning I set up my GoPro on the beach and let it record for a bit. This is about thirty feet from where we were camped.
We got to fall asleep and wake up to the waves crashing.
