Heltorf Castle Park
The castle park is laid out as an English forest park, in the center is the castle pond. The idea of creating the garden in the English style came from the French Abbé Biarelle in 1796 and was executed by Maximilian Weyhe in 1803. Special features of the garden at that time are exotic trees and shrubs, such as the second oldest rhododendron plantation in Germany, which is well worth seeing. The park covers an area of 54 hectares.
