When you have no plan, just start somewhere
I wasn't sure what I wanted to photograph today, but I picked up this button and started from there. It's a large coat button from the 1920s and it's made of layered Celluloid and Erinoid plastic. The surface has been made to look like wood grain. The copper coloured thimble dates from the late 19th century and the wooden reels of silk thread in the box are from the 1920s/30s. Lastly, the base is a piece of cotton fabric which I tea-dyed.
