315850 on display at Old Oak Common open day on 21/Sep/1980.
This unit had been engaged in driver training on the Midland Main Line in connection with the electrification of the St. Pancras suburban services and still bears a headcode appropriate for a LMR special working. One of the class, 315807, was actually allocated to Cricklewood for a time in 1981.
Someone at the open day has had a play with the destination blind and selected Clacton, which was obviously present on the blind but not a location which saw 315s at all often.
