Guilty? Not if you're a Mink

Judgement was solemnly passed...

''You are not from these lands and have been found guilty of terrorising and killing the local wildlife''

''How do you plead?''

The evidence was overwhelming and the Mink knew it...

''Guilty your honour''

''Then you shall be sentenced to death by metal trap., have you anything to say?''

''Yes I do'' said the Mink

There was a stunned silence in the courtroom., what could the Mink possibly say?

''Respectfully., it's you who are guilty of of putting me here in these lands., all I do is what comes naturally to me.. What do you expect me to do? Starve to death?''

The judge stopped to think for a moment...

''Well I think we'll just ignore all of that., the truth can be a bit inconvenient at times and there's no point in complicating things...

Put him in the metal trap and kill him anyway''
