Dolica AX620B100 Tripod

My review –

I just got in my new tripod to replace the one that just broke on me. I wanted to go with a Manfrotto tripod but right now I couldn’t afford the extra $200 so I decided on this one instead. I had heard good things about it and so far all the reviews I read were correct. For a much smaller price tag this tripod is great. It has many features of the expensive tripods. I love the ball head I can move it into any direction I want, and it locks and it locks down tight very easy! It can hold up to a 13lb camera. It has a hook so you can add weight, the legs can be set at 3 different angles one being parallel or flat on the ground, this will be good for macro shots. There are only problem two things about it that could be improved on. The leg clamps are plastic when almost everything else is metal and the quick release part that goes on my camera on my camera has to be tightened pretty tight to keep from moving, but it is small enough that I can just keep it on my camera once set. It is also small enough that when I am not using the tripod it won’t be an issue when handholding or placing in the camera bag. Its size and weight are very nice too. For how sturdy the tripod is it doesn’t weight very much. Overall I really like it and would suggest it to any hobbyist or armature. I probably is not good enough for a professional but someone like me is works great for. Maybe someday later I will get the Manfrotto one I was looking at.
