One of the oldest fire departments in the United States, the Philadelphia Fire Department was all volunteer for the first 134 years of its history. And today, it is one of the busiest in the world.
Ladder 9 shares its firehouse with Squrt 43 and Medic 7.
Update: I've been informed that this image was blogged and dugg-- I'm extremely flattered! After reading the many comments on the blogs, just a few quick notes: "real" is in the eye of the beholder-- and making something that looks 'real' isn't always the end-all be-all, and certainly not the goal of every artist. Also, this image isn't just HDR, it's the product of a great many things.
