Inflatable Heatwave
The Inflatable crew on an untitled Rugby film in production in Salt Lake City , Utah. 500 mannequins are being blown up, dressed in clothes, masked, and wigged. Later we put them in the stands behind where I am standing. Inflatable spectators and fans. It was well over 100 degrees and I would sweat like a pig at 7am. After we set the mannequins in the stands and secured them to the bleachers with clothes pins I noticed a huge storm headed our way. "What's that?" "Oh, because it's so hot in the summer, afternoon showers happen everyday." And I'm like, "Ok!" Twenty minutes later the wind comes and I think it's the end of the world. The trees next to the stadium look like they are going to be lifted into the sky. Then a gust of wind blew the dolls all over the place. A total disaster! It's a three week shoot and this is day one. Thank god, I left for Toronto a few days later to set up dolls indoors!
