Inflatable mannequins to be used as basketball spectators on a Hollywood film shot in Louisiana. We had to fill the lobby and hallways of the LSU Ag Center with 3000 of these because the first day of shooting at this particular location called for an empty gym. The practice scene would be shot before the game. So 3000 inflatables must be stored somewhere and this was our only option. What you are looking at is 150 dummies. It looked like this all the way around the building. We were told that we would need to put these in during lunch. I say, "I need a crew of 30 people to do that!" The 2nd AD responded with a smirk, "whatever it takes." I send the crew to lunch early and tell them to eat a light meal. We would be working really hard soon. This is almost exactly a year before Hurricane Katrina hit the region. After Katrina devestated the area, this particular location in Baton Rouge became the Hurricane Katrina Emergency Animal Shelter. What a weird world...
