"Your rainbow panorama"
"Your rainbow panorama is a permanent work of art consisting of a circular, 150-metre-long and three metre-wide circular walkway in glass in all the colours of the spectrum. Mounted on slender columns 3.5 metres above the roof and with a diameter of 52 metres, this spectacular creation extends from one edge to the other of the facade of the cubic museum building."
“Your rainbow panorama establishes a dialogue with the existing architecture and reinforces what was already there, that is to say the view across the city. I have created a space that can almost be said to erase the boundary between inside and outside – a place where you become a little uncertain as to whether you have stepped into a work of art or into part of the museum. This uncertainty is important to me, as it encourages people to think and sense beyond the limits within which they are accustomed to function.” (Olafur Eliasson)

"Your rainbow panorama" ist ein permanentes Kunstwerk, das aus einem runden, 150 m langen und drei Meter breiten Gehweg aus Glas in allen Farben des Spektrums besteht. Auf schlanken Säulen, 3,5 m über dem Dach, mit einem Durchmesser von 52 m, erstreckt sich diese aufsehenerregende Kreation von einem Ende der Fassade des würfelförmigen Museumsgebäudes zum anderen.
Folgendes Zitat stammt aus der Beschreibung des Künstlers von seinem eigenen Werk:
“Your rainbow panorama schafft einen Dialog mit der vorhandenen Architektur und verstärkt das schon vorher Existente, also den Blick über die Stadt. Ich habe einen Raum geschaffen, von dem man fast sagen könnte, dass er die Grenze zwischen innen und außen aufhebt – einen Ort, an dem Sie unsicher sind, ob Sie nun ein Kunstwerk betreten haben oder einen Teil des Museums. Diese Unsicherheit ist mir wichtig, da sie Menschen anregt, über die Grenzen hinaus zu denken und fühlen, innerhalb derer sie zu funktionieren gewohnt sind.”
