Lift Every Voice and Sing

At the center of the Plaza de la Constitucion — once a slave market and later the epicenter of a march led by Martin Luther King, Jr. — marchers raised their voices in song with "Lift Every Voice and Sing" to commemorate the long, ongoing struggle. The protestors were calling for the removal of two Confederate monuments which the city government of St. Augustine, Florida decided to keep in place in its central plaza.
