A Manhattan icon plus four and a half gables.

Actually, that red building has six rather unattractive gables, but I think the colors, shapes, and textures work nicely with that icon of Manhattan architecture, the Flatiron Building.

The Flatiron Building, located at the crossroads of Broadway and Fifth Avenue at 23rd Street, is considered, at 285 feet tall, to be one of the first skyscrapers ever built. Upon completion in 1902 it was one of the tallest buildings in New York City. My how things change.
