Italy, Venice, ...arriving at six thirty am at daybreak in Venice.

 

Due to the volcanic eruption of the "Eyjafjallajökull" in Iceland, all flights were cancelled & I had to rebook going by train.

Departure in Hamburg on Friday at 1 pm, in Munich train change with a 2 hour stay, in Verona at 3 am 1 hour stop at the train station staying in the train, arrival in Venice on Saturday at 6 am, arrival at the hotel, 2 minutes from Marcus square, at 7 am, I checked in but rooms are only ready for occupancy by new arrivals at 1 pm, what is usually the normal check-in time in hotels,

…all in all a 24 hour trip, …one experience richer &

regrets or frustration, …none.

 

If I had flown on Saturday as planed & booked, I would have arrived at 1 pm & probably would have never seen Venice from the sea side at daybreak,...cosi, tutto bene.
