Another version of the Clare series with the addition of plant forms in white. The mouth and nose are the strongest features of the portrait so I started messing about with a variety of shapes and patterns attempting to create the illusion that the girl's thoughts were being written on her face. The resulting image reminds me of one of those 70s fashion adverts for shops like Biba. I'm pleased with the way the parallel lines of slightly hidden text contrast with the curvilinear forms of the graphic additions. I might try adding a few bird or butterfly silhouettes...
