Seeing Double

You can always count on the rainy days to bring out a pileated woodpecker; but two. Now that's an occasion!

 

Scott spotted these from our living room window, so I grabbed my camera and snuck around the house to try and get a shot or two.

 

They were at an awkward angle for me but I still managed this one that I like. Not as sharp as it could have been, but still a great chance to see two in a tree.

 

I find these guys tend to be lone birds, maybe it's just my experience so far though!
