Hoping for Peanuts

"We are not retreating - we are advancing in another direction." - Douglas MacArthur

-----

Whenever I go to Mer Bleue, I always sort of feel sorry for these guys. They're nervous and skittish so they don't (usually) come too close which means they're stuck with what the brave chickadees and woodpeckers leave behind.

I usually end up tossing a few peanuts their way, but that makes them call out and scatter, but still I try.

This little guy was sizing me up and deciding if he should come closer or just stay away.

I guess he eventually decided I wasn't going to try and eat him, and he came closer to grab a couple peanuts before shouting his victory and darting back into the denser trees.

Something for everyone!

Hope everyone has had a good day.
