Soo Line 6058 - Pewaukee - 1/13/1990
Back in early 1990 when this segment of the former Milwaukee Road was still double track, eastbound Soo Line train 940 is passing alongside the lakeshore at Pewaukee, Wisconsin.
Of course that 2-month old Soo SD60M leader was the star of this motive power consist this day, but just as cool were the two trailing sister SD40s #6402 & 6403, which had been built side by side on the floor of EMD back in the year 1970 for delivery to their first owner Kansas City Southern. ~~ A Jeff Hampton Photograph ©
