Marking Time

The scorebox clock at Barton Town Cricket Club's Marsh Lane (or Barricks Haulage) ground. It features the club's formation date, 1849, and their logo, a viking.

 

Captured during a third-versus-first clash, between Barton and Messingham, in the Lincolnshire County League Premier Division. Messingham won, by 41 runs, to extend to 10 points their lead at the top of the table.

 

With a reorganisation of Lincolnshire recreational cricket pending, 2025 will be the final season of the Lincolnshire County League, which was established in 1963.
