Rescue 1
Today's #sundaycabspecial features the Spartan Gladiator, one of the most popular cabs in the fire service today and sees action in large cities such as Chicago, Dallas, and Houston. FDCB employs several Spartan Gladiators. Rescue 1 is on a 2017 Spartan Gladiator chassis with SVI bodywork. Previous generations of Rescue 1 had a command center in the front half of the body, but none of them had a slide-out compartment like current iteration of Rescue 1. Also, the rear half features a staircase to the top where some tools and the Onan generator are stored. The staircase also has the ability to open, revealing plywood storage. Rescue 1 is set to be joined by Hazmat 1, which will also be on a Spartan/SVI.
