Presencias tutelares is a sculptural group of reinforced concrete and clay located in the Chaca pampas, at the intersection of the Panamericana Norte highway with the A-31 route, 27 kilometers south of the city of Arica, Chile.1 Artist's work Juan Díaz Fleming, was financed by the National Fund of the National Council of Culture and the Arts in 1996, and inaugurated in 1997.1 2
The set, which commemorates the first cultures to settle in the area, is made up of a hemispherical structure with an engraved spiral called The Ancestors, and two vertical figures called The Origin of the Line, whose shape is an abstraction of the human body.1
