Maker!

I made it! The makers faire ran outta the minty usb kits so i tried this one instead. And it works! TVs beware :) i've always wanted one of these. and now i've made one. oh the power...

 

my first soldering project. and i got to meet the lady behind lady ada and adafruit. very cool. gonna try my hand at another kit or two. i didn't add the optional programmable bit, but might go back in and do it, just so it's there if i ever get to that elevated level of geekiness.

 

now all i need is a case. i've got an old old old palm case somewhere. translucent orange should let the ir through, right? then it's off to best buy and the various bars i like to frequent (especially the ones where my friends work... hah!)
