Ukraine: the largest-ever EU civil protection operation continues at full force
European assistance to Ukrainian rescuers extends beyond providing equipment for their operations.
Given the critical situation with the country's power grid, each fire and rescue station is now equipped with generators, allowing them to maintain full functionality during power outages.
Many of these stations also serve as so-called "Invincibility Points" for civilians, where people can charge their phones and laptops, spend time working, or simply rest.
As a result, thousands of Ukrainians facing daily power and communication outages can benefit from these generators supplied through the EU Civil Protection Mechanism.
