The Rohingya crisis: 2 years on
Sumi Barua, a 15-year-old Bangladeshi girl from Cox’s Bazar, regularly attends sessions a UNICEF-run adolescent club alongside Rohingya refugees from Myanmar. “By coming here, I learn so much about issues that never before crossed my mind,” says Sumi. “Sometimes we do a role play where we learn about the many disadvantages of child marriage, and sometimes we have discussions about HIV or dowry. I find this knowledge very important and useful.”
