Paraguay: Feeling the brunt of El Niño

Access to safe drinking water is – paradoxically – one of the most pressing needs during floods. Wells previously used for clean water become rubbish heaps.

 

In the city of Nanawa, the floods have swept along waste and contaminated many wells, threatening people’s health.
