In July 2015, Karina, Adelaida, Wilder, Sheily, Vilma, Selvin and Desiderio – all under two years old – did not survive the drought which is causing a staggering 77.7% rate of stunting malnutrition in the area. Many graves in Comitancillo’s cemetery, pictured above, have been recently dug due to the drought.
