sunset i wish i saw

in case you hadn't guessed, i would feel guilty if anyone thought that the scene really looked like this.

 

my wife and i recently spent a long weekend visiting hiroshima and miyajima island. this tori, or gate, is one of japan's three "must see" sights. it was really cool, (i've got another picture of it at night i'll post soon) but the sky just wouldn't cooperate with me the only evening we were there. the sunset was pale and sort of lifeless. so i fixed it!

 

i will say that i only blurred the outside edges of the image and the other adjustments were simply colours i added or took away. so this IS what it looked like, minus the amazing sunset colours.
