hydrangea project - please help/critique

i need your help!!!

 

i have a friend who's favourite flowers are hydrangeas so i wanted to put together a collage of my hydrangea pics for her. i figure i'll get it printed 11X16 and send it to her. i worked for a few hours today putting it together and now i can't decide which of the two are better (or if something has to be completely changed. for example, the background image is a little out of focus - that's why i chose it for the background, but is that a problem?)

 

so... i'm looking for some good honest (harsh is good - i can handle it!) feedback. and just a warning, the original (if you choose to view it) is a really big file.
