World Photography Day - Patterns in Nature
The geometry of nature is often abstract, as is the ornate and almost carved forms of the sandstone just outside of Kanab, Utah, where one can find the etherial toadstool hoodoos. In this shot, though, the bed of sandstone that creates the "floor" of the geologic structure is redolent of a tiled floor, where the abstraction of nature reminds one of Cubism... even though an artist's brush or implement did not make these carvings, science did.
