Perfect ending to a perfect day
My husband and I saw this owl yesterday in the late morning and decided to leave it as it rested near the log and try back later in the evening. We drove around looking for other birds ( had a great sighting of a cooper's hawk) and had a nice lunch by the ocean. We returned to where we saw the snowy owl and luckily it was still there. It perched up on the log in perfect evening light about 30 minutes before sunset . Right at sunset it flew to a tree to start its hunting routine. What a perfect ending to a perfect day :-).
